Choosing Between Face-to-Face and Online Therapy: What’s Best for You?
As a therapist, I understand that everyone's preferences and circumstances are different when it comes to therapy. That’s why I offer both face-to-face and online sessions, giving you the flexibility to choose what works best for you.
For those who enjoy the structure and routine of coming into a physical space, face-to-face therapy in my Edinburgh office at 20 Forth Street, EH1 3LH, provides a calm and private environment for our sessions. Some clients find that being in a dedicated setting away from their everyday distractions helps them focus more deeply on the process.
Alternatively, online therapy allows you to attend sessions from the comfort of your own home, or wherever you feel most at ease. I use secure platforms like doxy.me or WhatsApp to ensure our conversations are private and safe. This option is perfect if you're juggling a busy schedule, live further afield, or simply prefer the convenience of remote sessions.
Whichever option you choose, the important thing is finding the right balance for you. As always, I offer an initial session at a reduced rate of £35 to give you the opportunity to see if my approach suits you. After that, sessions are £50.
If you’re unsure which setting might be best for you, feel free to reach out, and we can discuss what would suit your needs and lifestyle.
